Concerning Weingartner's engagement in Munich and Levi's conversation with Strauss's father [Franz Strauss], saying that, in principal, he is now inclined to come to Munich, thanking Levi and Possart for the trust they placed in Strauss, but adding that such a "half-provisional" position brings with it highly dangerous obstacles, saying that when he returns he would like to discuss in person with Levi and Possart his competency for Munich, his repertoire--"meine Schwärmerei für Liszt kennen Sie ja"--, and many other details, adding how deeply saddened he was by Levi's pensioning of Strauss's father, mentioning Perfall, etc.
